New Semester, New Goals

It is the start of another semester.

Most of my classes don't seem too difficult, except for one. MGA302... Intermediate Financial Accounting II. It's not even the course material that's difficult.. it's the strict professor that's teaching it! He wouldn't continue the lecture unless someone gave him a correct answer, so we ended up "guessing" our way through class. Don't get me wrong, I love challenging professors, but this is over the top!

Hopefully, I can pull through with an A.

Anyways, here's some of my goals this semester:

1. 6 A's (4.0 GPA) for my courses this semester

2. workout/swim at least 2x a week, eat in moderation, & lose 10 pounds

3. do not exceed $1,000 budget for the entire semester (incl. textbooks and groceries/gas money)

4. go to church on Fridays more often

5. get a summer internship!

6. maintain healthy long-distance relationship with boyfriend :)

7. prepare for GMAT

8. study at the library for 5+ hours, once a week.

9. successfully fulfill all requirements of Beta Alpha Psi (business honor society), incl. community service, tutoring, technical events, meetings, etc.

There's probably some more I haven't thought of...

So #2 got on my list of goals because I recently noticed how much weight I've been gaining. I bought a scale today at T.J.Maxx and I'm 115 lbs!! OMGGGG how did this happen?!?! I used to be 105! It's all that chinese food my mom's been feeding me! So I've set my mind to it; lose 10 pounds! (not necessarily the lbs, but get visible results!)

I spent $85 today.. just buying some running shoes, a scale, and a pair of 4-lb dumbbells. Getting fit is costing me a fortune!

Transitioning from a SK LX to a N97

So it's been 3 weeks since I got the N97 from Nokia and I absolutely love it.

I had a lot of problems with the firmware at first (still do!) with the phone freezing up or the touchscreen not working. I had to do a factory reset (lost all my contacts, preferences, pictures, and downloaded apps) and this time, I chose not to download sooo many applications because they were found to be make the phone very buggy. Ever since, I haven't had these problems again.. but I still find the phone to be quite "slow" for a smartphone.

But I put up with the firmware issues because the hardware is just SO gorgeous!

But I have to say, the keyboard isn't as great as it looks! Being a physical qwerty keyboard with its keys decently spaced apart and buttons big enough (yes I'm hating about the blackberry!), I anticipated more convenience.

However, this keyboard is shit compared to what I previously used for 2 years, my Sidekick LX. I don't even mind that the space bar is ridiculously placed at the far bottom right, but I HATE how it's soooo tiny (spacebars are supposed to fit BOTH my thumbs!!) so I always hit "Sym" button next to it and it brings up the symbols-screen. Very annoying.

But the buttons do have a nice feel to them, but SK keyboard buttons have a better rubbery feel... and not as slippery.

That's all I really have to say... I have my last final tomorrow, at 3pm & then I'm leaving at around midnight. (taking the bus back to NYC!)

My plans for winter break... study for GMAT & hang out with my friends A LOT! We got some serious catching-up to do!!

Western Digital Passport Essential :D

Ever since I've been having computer problems (I've reinstalled windows 2x in the past 6 months), I've been wishing for a portable external hard drive of my own.

I love gadgets. So I just had to get myself one of these.

Everyone has a black or a blue, and I really wanted something unique.

And they have some awesome new colors! It was so hard to decide. Aside of the boring old black, they have 10 other colors, from red, orange, yellow, 4 different blues, a pink, silver, and the classic white.

But these were my absolute favorite:


Pink's always a favorite of mine, and the orange and yellow are such brilliant & outstanding colors as well. I love brilliant colors! But the one that REALLY caught my eye was the second one, it's called "Ultra Mint".

The color looks kind of similiar to my Ice Blue DS Lite but perhaps darker.

So I ordered mine on the WD's website (I know it's much cheaper on Amazon and Newegg and such but they didn't have this color!). While the pink and the orange (my other options) were $99 on those websites, ultra mint ranged was about $150 on other websites. So I got mine on WD's website for $130!

320GB, because that was the biggest size they had in this color (but it'll suffice for my 10,000+ photos and 1000+ song files and 100+ HOUSE videos I'll be storing on it....)

Shipping was only $3!

I'm totally excited to get it in the mail.

Which reminds me.. I'm still waiting on my new DS case I ordered last week... I hate my awful tendency of ordering things on a Friday and having to wait through the non-business weekend!

As an update on my new logitech webcam, I'm totally lovin' it! Awesome picture AND video pixels, extremely clear sound, and the HD version is even better (but lags a little bit). Quick movement makes it a tad blurry but that doesn't seem to happen on oovoo!

On a sad note, I can't seem to find my new digital camera... where is it!!!

Also, I've been playing FF4 on DS for a past few weeks. Hehe

Meatball Parmesan Baked Sub!

So I must've been so hungry that my meatball parm tasted like the yummiest thing I've ever had. Even thought it was pretty burnt.

New Webcam! :D

So my boyfriend bought me a new webcam the other day and I just received the package today! (Right before my marketing exam, which two 2 hours.. what a drag!)

I'm installing the software right now.. I'm so excited!
